A Visit from St.Nicholas

Concluding this run of festive tales, I read the iconic Christmas poem, "A Visit from St. Nicholas" better known to many as "Twas the Night Before Christmas" by Clement Clarke Moore.

I'll be back in the new year with an interesting non-fiction text to return with - so watch this space !

Mr Christmas

Continuing the festive tales, I read  the more upbeat (and frankly lesser known) tale of Mr Christmas, one of the many Little Miss and Mr Men Characters created by the Hargreaves family

On Christmas Eve I will be sharing with you "A Visit from St. Nicholas" A.K.A "Twas the Night Before Christmas" a poem by Clement Clarke Moore

The Little Match Girl

Continuing the festive tales, I read the rather sad tale of "The Little Match Girl" by Hans Christian Andersen. During these modern times it is important to remember that little things really matter including the memories of those no longer with us. There are some things that money can't buy...

Next time, I'll reading Roger Hargreaves "Mr Christmas"

Gift of the Magi

In the first of a number of festive tales, I start of with O. Henry's poignant tale about the sacrifices of Christmas in "Gift of the Magi". At this time of year it is very easy to put the wants and needs of others first.

Next time, I'll reading "The Little Match Girl" by Hans Christian Andersen.

The quirquincho and the fox

After a short hiatus, we are back with some more tales!
In today's audio book I read "The quirquincho and the fox" a tale set in South America. As an additional bonus at the end of the tale there is a brief description of the continent and its geography AND an activity where you can make your very own volcano !

Next time, I'll be reading a Norwegian tale called "Where do the Northern Lights come from?"

Revolting Rhymes part 3

Just in time for Roald Dahl Day, today's audiobook is the final installment of my reading of "Revolting Rhymes". In this podcast I read aloud the tales of "Little red riding hood" and "The three little pigs" which end up being strangely connected...
Poem one starts straight after the intro music, poem two commences at 4.45.

I’m going to be spending the next few weeks editing and recording some new fantastic podcasts, including a chapter story quite close to my heart! So I’ll be taking a short hiatus of a few weeks to catch up and make sure the next few podcasts are up to scratch and can do some research for future episodes.

My next tale, “The quirinchiro and the fox”, will be available at the start of October
